If you need a box for it email me. I might have an extra I would let go for reasoble price. Not sure though. I would have to go dig around in the barn.

Bob,

Not to beat the subject to death, but open that right door and make sure it isn't a "Bale Command" version. With the electric motor?

You won't be buying that computer for $225. Heck, they charge something like $700 just to calibrate the darned things. :>(

You really can't tell unless you open that door and look. "Most" of the 855s sold were the electrics.

"IF" you have the mechanical auto tie, ya really got a good one. Just drive it; the machine does the rest. :>)

Allan it doesnt have an electric motor, just a spring type relay. So it is the mechanical type.So to make it idiot proof i should get the full bale alarm? and will i need to get a small battery or hook it up to the tractor battery? Im sure it needs some sort of electrical pulse?
Thanks You are being a GREAT help and sorry for being a pest

WOW!

Did you ever get a nice rig! If it is in nice shape, those darned things are just the cat's meow!

Monitor hooks to the tractors 12-volt electrical system; horn sounds and the light come on when she's full.

Good job Bob! You're gonna love that baler! :>)

Bob,

The auto tie is totally mechanical and only has one set of hydraulics to lift the door. This system really needs the indicator box to tell you it is tying.

However, on the other hand, the "Bale Command" version will have an electric motor at the tie bar and demands that you use the "brain box". They work sweet when they work.

Now, if you have 2 sets of hydraulics (4 hoses), you have the hydraulic tie and yes, the electrical indicator is helpful, but not absolutely necessary because there is an indicator on the right front of the machine (but, ya gotta watch it).

A full 5.5 bale will average around 1300 to 1500 lbs depending on what you're baling. Keep that air pressure at the low end (40 lbs, I think) or else you won't be able to lift the buggers!

You can certainly make smaller bales to keep the weight down.

You already have one that makes 1000 pound bales. Only way they weight 1700 is if its raining.

Mornin' Bob,

All depends. What kind of a tie setup does it have? Mechanical trip, hydraulic or electric?

Allan
