I recently acquired this 3-pt. hitch cultipacker. Is anyone familiar with this style? It has a missing wheel on one end. Can anyone tell me anything about this cultipacker or where I could find a wheel for it?

The name plate is faded real bad, but you are correct. It does say True Blue

This looks more like a converted rotary hoe.

I have no idea about this unit, but as far as Burch Plow Works goes, there was also a manufacturer by that name in Crestline Ohio. They built turning plows early on, then later made snow removal plows and elevators as well as other other items. I think they closed in the early 1970's Does the tag list where it was made?

No, I have not seen one like it, but when I have to move mine old one from one field to another, it would be nice to have a 3 pt on it.

Great fine, good looking machine.

That looks like what the Europeans call a "roll/ring press". It is used directly behind the plow to consolidate the plowed ground and conserve moisture. I believe it also helps control slugs. I've also seen in old sales literature such a device nested between a plow and drill, for a one pass operation operation. I wouldn't be surprised if it originated in Canada, which tends to use more European practices.

I forgot to mention that the nameplate reads Burch Plow Works...True Built model. It is 7.5 to 8 feet wide.

Burch Plow Works was in Evansville, IN. The line was called True Blue. We had the franchise here and sold disk harrows, offset disk plows, planters and cultivators. I still have some N.O.S. corn planter sprockets lying around here. But I can't recall that cultipacker.
