Any one know of a source to order the metal hieght extentions for gravity boxes? I am buying 3 of them and they have wood extentions which are kinda shoddy. As with everything I am gonna refurbish the gears and boxes and paint the inside with that slippery(graphite?) paing, and I want to add the correct extentions to maximize capactity within the safe limits.

I have made some in the past. but not at todays steel prices.
I can get a price of the steel & braking them, need to know the length & how high you want them.
The steel only comes 10' long so would weld them
to make the length you need.
You paint them?

Is that metal shop still operating just NE of Mimbach"s? Also check with Minnesota Structural Steel, Lincoln Av, near Midway Iron. They retail and manufacture.

Good advice. Had a local fabrication shop make galvanized 16 inch extensions for one wagon. Just need to find a shop that has a large enough sheet metal brake to form the entire side in one piece, if you want to avoid a splice.

Don't know about the metal ones unless you contact the original manufactuer. 2x12 boards make nice extentions though.
