Broke the hook off of a spring about 30" long 2" o.d. Was wondering if anyone had tried heating up the first coil and and forming it into a new hook. Don't think I can find a replacement without having it custom made.

Have done this many times. Heat maybe 1.5 inches of the coil to a dull red and bend and let cool slow.
