If you see this, I was curious with our conversation last week. Was that NH 316 in working order before the auction? I am only curious so I have no surprises. I don't mind if there is anything wrong with it, I would just like to know before the season fires up soon. Thanks in advance Mike

As I recall, it was in working order. The thrower has been troublesome; although I don't think it has been looked at by anyone other than the owner, and it did bale probably 5 to 7 thousand bales last year and at least that much every year since it was new. The knotters had a little work by a different dealership tech midsummer '06 and I hear the baler ties very well. I have never laid a wrench on it myself. Look at the bright side, It was a one owner machine till last week and now you have a little history. Now, how far away did you take it?

I am actually going to pick it up on Sunday, I have been a tad busy seeding, but I am only going up just north of Pittsfield. We are pretty familiar with NH balers just not the thrower, but I did just buy an owners manual and a parts manual for it. If I am not mistaken, both the JD and the NH ejectors were made by the same company, correct me if I am wrong on that. We bale on average 30-35k annually, but I fully expect that number to grow this year (pray for sunshine....haha)

Good luck with it. I have a lot of relatives in Lenox and other parts of Berkshire County.
