Oliver 20 plow

i recently found this plow oliver 20 on farm that i just bought.the plow seems to be in good shape except for two pieces of wood that was almost rotted away.the plow seems to be horse drawn.any help in knowing what the wood pieces are for and the color the plow was when new will greatly appericated.

I once worked for an fella who had been an oldtime John Deere salesman in a past life. He once told me that he got his outlook on life from behind a horse drawn plow. figure it out.

anyway, i don't have the slightest idea what those wooden things are on your old Oliver plow. Maybe the handles?
