A few months ago it was reported on here that Farmtrac of North Carolina was filing for bankruptcy. Has anyone heard if that happened, and if so, if another company is buying them out? Or, will this be the end of the Farmtrac line as we know it?

That's interesting. If a "fire-sale" does occur, I would be interested in getting one of the smaller models. It appears that they use a lot of Ford parts on them, so at least some of the items should be fairly readily obtainable from New Holland dealers, IMO.

At one point I read the auction was announced; then it was pulled. Perhaps it is back on again????

It sounds like a very troubled history, 2 distributors dividing the USA in half, the main company going bankrupt, who owns/ controls what?

I will assume they are trying to pick up the pieces & get someone to buy them/ infuse money to keep going. However, creditors will push to cash out what they can so a firesale can happen at any time.

You won't get a real honest story from either side at this point, as each side has different goals.

My take on it?

I really don't know. I was in Tarboro last week and drove by the Farmtrac place and still lots of new tractors sitting on the yard. They've got to do something with them.
