Going to a consignment auction tomorrow. They have a few one, two, and three bottom plows. How important is plowing compared to disking? I'm doing small 1/2 to 3/4 acre plots. What's a decnt price? Also have some Furgeson 3-pt rakes, post hole diggers (3-pt) etc. I know it's what a buyer is willing to pay, but there must be a starting/too much number.

Either way, I'm looking forward to a fun day. Thank you.

Larry

If you are going to do that size plots go with a ONE bottom, forget a 2 or 3 bottom, with the 1 bottom you can cet the ends all the same but with a 2 or 3 bottom between the front and back furrow you will have a big hole that on that size plot you would have a lot of trouble leveling

I have a 100x100' plot that I plow with a 2-14 case eagle hitch plow that I use and I have no problem at all.

Im not sure what the price of the implements you are looking for run, but the picture classified ad on this web site would be a good place to start comparing prices and quality of equipment for what you want.
