Wasn't aware that the 55 had that capability. Dad's old new Idea low wheel rake was called a "rake and tedder". You set your teeth pitched to the front and shifted it into Tedder position which reversed the basket and it did a super job fluffing it up.You didn't want to go to fast with it though as it would realy crank it up to do the job.

Not a real efficient way to do it. I would use a tedder that is designed to do the job, unless you have blazing temps and good winds!! Just my take on it.

you can set the rake so it will take off half of the windrow if all ready formed to spread it back out. Wheel rakes are designed to tedd, move into smaller windrows or one large row, it all depends on how you have the rake set.

We used our rakes to turn windrows bottom side up so they would dry faster. I rebuilt a wheel rake just for that purpose.
