Howdy, does anyone know these balers? The good and bad points. The 2.3 and 2.5.

Thanks Larry

In their day they were an ok baler. Ours is contrary as he!! some days. There are a lot of small moving parts that over time get rust under them and then the tying mechanism won't work. Make sure you take a really good look at the frame. Especially on the 2.5 the door was too heavy for the frame and tended to bend them. Also check both ends of the top roller. The shafts are splined and we had one spline strip which we replaced with a taper lock hub for $600. Ours has done about 36000 bales and we still drive it for about 1000 per year. Also check PTO shaft for wear at the double knuckle
