I'am trying to restore my Ford 352 planter and I need one of the seed hopper lids. NH shows them avaliable, but when you try to order one they are NLA. I think Oliver, MM, and White were all the same planter. The ones I need are for the round fiberglass hopper 1.2 bu capicity with the metal lid. Lid is 17 inches in Dia. and had a 5/8 inch lip.

thanks in advance,

Brian

I have a White 543, same planter, EXCEPT the White has square boxes with plastic lids. I saw an Oliver 543 at a sale a couple years ago (shoulda bought it) that also had square boxes. I don"t know what model MM this was, but I recall in an old ad from around 1970 that they had the round boxes like the Ford. They might have to be made. Ouch$$$$. You could try All States Ag Parts. They do salvage old planters as well as combines and tractors.
