We have this implement on our property and want to hopefully identify it. It still has green paint on it so guessing it is a John Deere. Hope someone can help. Thanks!

I agree with the others; it may not have much worth in and of itself, but for somebody who is trying to restore a similar implement, many of those parts are invaluable -- they just don't make them anymore!

One thing about these old hulks to remember: The whole is NOT greater than the sum of its parts. Oftentimes you can part out antique machinery, piece by piece, and get MUCH more than you could get for the whole enchilada.

As junky as it may seem, this is part of our agricultural heritage, and once this stuff is gone, it's gone -- they won't be making it ever again. It would be a shame to ship the entire implement off as scrap, only to wind up in a Chinese blast furnace before re-appearing as new merchandise in your local Wal-mart...
That's my 2� worth ... Your mileage may vary.

Yes, i diddnt see your pic, but if it has ferdilizer and seed boxes theyre worth a fair amount to collectors. Or you could just remove the big parts with probabally a breaker bar and alot of bandaids and put them up on the photoadds here. Id just say its unknown to you (certian parts you should be able to identify) and youre selling it off an old planter you got. My e-mail is always open if you have any questions [email protected]

It is worth the parts to someone fixing one up. It would not have a high $$$ value tho, if that is the question. :)
