I have recently bought a house which has some sheds on it that were used for heavy equipment and tractor repair. I have lots of old manuals for tractors. I have also found something that I am curios to know if anyone might know what it might be---it is round (about the same size as a tractor steering wheel), a heavy metal, wrapped in a silver foil, like heavy aluminum, then dipped in something like polyurethane. It has 3110-992-7779 DATE PKD 1/70. Does anyone have any idea what it might be? Also are the books worth anything?

That looks like a government supply number. Class code 3110. I will try on Monday to see if some of my old friends can get me more info. Gene

I have not found any Ford manuals, yet. I have lots of John Deere manuals. Although, we had a tornado that tore our sheds down, so they have gotten wet but the books are ok. They are mostly from 1965. I don"t have a pic, will try to get one tomorrow. Thanks for your reply!! CEB

Sorry to hear about your loss . Those storms are so destructive & I feel for those that have gone through them . I've seen up close what they can do & have helped in some cleanup efforts . Sad ! God bless, Ken
