balers seem cheeper in you part of the country. last year I paid $750 for a IH 440 and had to rebuild the twisters and I was glad to do it all the old cheepe balers have disappered for some reason I could sale all the 500 -1000 balers I could find around here in oklahoma. In answer to your question if you have aa dealer close it sounds like a heck of a deal.

I paid $75.00 at an auction for a #3 with a running Wisconsin engine. The plunger was stuck and the owner said it had been stuck for over 40 years. The knotter looks like new, as does the rest of it. I got the plunger loose, and will know this summer how it works.

I paid $450.00 for mine after using it for two summers to ensure it worked correctly. Good clean tin Knotters bright and shiny. No rot in the bale chamber. good tires.
