I've done it. You have to cut and weld the wheel frame, particularly the wheel arms, narrower. The shop that did it for me made new weld pieces and moved only the wheel arms. That way its easier to put back.

You have to drill a new hole in the hex shaft for the drive chain sprockt from the wheel (maybe two if both wheels have drive chains which was an option). You have to slide the units over. No problems there, just the fixed width wheel frame has to be cut and welded.

I probably have pictures, but not on a server at the moment. May try to post a picture later. Have to quit for now.

If you are moving from 36 to 30 row width move the middle two rows in 3" each and the outside rows in 6" each. best Yeoman

Almost positive the main frame is different- ie, wheel frames are WELDED in a different position. Parts book is in the shop- but you can check yours with a tape measure- if you move the units, is the frame in the way? Possible to cut and weld back- sure. Should be only major difference.

Later- I did check the parts book. Shows different numbers for both the main frame, and axles. By axles, they mean the entire axle/frame/tube assembly. Saddles on the main frame carry the axle assembly....those are the dimensions that are different.

So I kept the same saddles, just moved the wheel bars along the tube. As you can see in this picture.

Changed the spacing probably from 76" to 60"
