They are a wonderful planter. In good condition they cost more at auction than the new ones you can buy. I have use one to plant my flowers for years - Gran dad bought it new many years ago and all I do is put oil on it when done planting before I put it away.

They'll plant dang near anything. They're especially good at planting extremely small seed.

And the down side. There's no way to control seed spacing, and they seed rather close together. All you can do is plant, then go back and thin whatever it is you plant after it comes up.
