Looking to sort out some plates for a buddy of mine. A number of them are H2527 which does not show up in the listing in the manual I have. It looks very close to H1255B which is for soy beans. It has 20 cells.

Curious if there is some thing special about this plate.

You are not looking at the right place in the manual. The chart is for the H1255B plate but just under the chart it says ( By using 20-cell plate (H2527B) with false plate (H1279B), the above amounts can be increased approximatly 50 per cent). What is not in the book is using that plate with standard floor plate will increase rates about 25%

According to the Deere seed plate catalog, the plate you mention is for "heavy planting" soybeans. Same length and width of cell but 3/32" thicker than the H1255B.
