i have a massey dana balance 41 sickle mower
that needs the blade and half end section on it.
the book has 3 to choose from. left or right
underseratted, and left top seratted.
what do i need? right underseratted?

also the top seratted is half price.

If I were you,I'd get the left and right both and use them. There's a reason why they make them for both ends. I run them on both ends on my mower/conditioner.

I have a bunch of brand new left hand sections I bought several years ago not realizing they were LEFT hand instead of RIGHT hand and the right hand do work good so I wanted them to use but found out they were the wrong direction so they WILL NOT work on the inner end of the mower knife. They might work on a selfpropelled windrower but not on a cycle bar mower. Anybody interested send email.

The smaller half-section should be at the end of the knife when it's installed. Stand behind the tractor and decide which end of the knife you want the end section on, right or left. I assume you want a right end one.

under serated always worked best for me on anything i cut. seemed to stay sharper longer for some reason. i'm sure they are the same thickness, but the under cut ones seemed thicker to me and stayed riveted down longer.

Under serrated is better for fine grasses, top serrated works best with coarse stemmed plants like alfalfa). Left and right refer to each end of knife as viewed from behind the mower. Hope that helps.
