IHC horse drawn corn planter

I purchased an IHC corn planter that I had planned to use as a yard decoration. I put it in my shed and started to play with it. First, It looks like you need to be a centipede to run the thing. Then I found that much of the planter still is there and functional(after two gallons of WD-40 sprayed on it). I would like to sell it to someone who could use it. I don't want to sit in the open and have it rust away if some one can use it and appreciate it. Contact me or answer this post and I can tell you more about it. each spring they have a mule drawn equiptment sale in franklin tenn and a mule day in columbia tn once a year. if yu've never bee to mule day in columbia its worth the trip. just get a sit up high on a bank so when the run away team comes by you'll be out of the way. watching 12 guys trying to load the king mule in a trailer for the parade was worth the trip. you can set the planter up for sale in the back of your truck and might get a buyer that way. if you have any amish people near you take it to them. them wil be glad to get it for parts if nothing else. they usually have a blacksmith in the bunch some where that will be glad to get it.

Thanks for the reply. Tennesse is a little too far to drive for a "might sell." I do have an Amish community not far from me. I also thought about that route and I might follow up with you suggestion. If there is any use left in this machine, I would like to see someone take advantage of it.

Where are you located and does your planter have the fertilizer stand on it? Fertilizer hoppers?
