Have a 15 Nozzle 3pt Sprayer. Just checking it out. Have Hypro 1700c pump on it maybe 5 years old. Can only get 15-20 psi out of it Is pump wore out? worth rebuilding? What new pump would be most reasonable?

filling the pump with antifreeze once your through with it will guarn=antee you that its ready for use the next time you need it. take it off the sprayer and pour antifreeze in it and turn the pump unitl some runs out. leave it setting up where the anti freeze want run out. are you sure your gauge is right? don't use a chisel to drive in the crack between the two halves to seperate it. believe it or not you will cause a bulge in the metal that will not seal off when you put it back together. if you have to carry it to a machine shop and let them flatten the surfaces back down. you can't take off very much or you'll lock the pump up. most sprayers have a valve that you turn to increase or decrease the pressure. alos its nice to have a filter in the line going to the boom. it will save you from having to stop and put your hands in chemicals to get the tip unstopped if trash gets in it. please wear protective clothing and a resperiator and rubber gloves when handling any chemicals. read the directions for the products being used.

There"s many things that can cause low psi besides the pump itself. Make sure the intake side flows well (screen/filter clean),correct suction hose that doesnt colapse under draw. Don"t have the catalog handy, is that pump a roller-style pump? If so, rebuilds are easy if you have eliminated everything but the pump.
