Recently bought a used Reese Drum mower at auction. Seems to be in decent shape. Haven't hooked it up yet.....nothing to mow this early. The belts have obviously been used a lot and a couple of the tedder teeth are broken. Factory parts are available but expensive. Has anyone found another source for these parts? How long will a belt last? It is a fold-back model with 2 belts driving the drums and another belt on the tedder.

I also looked at a hyrdaulic lift model that had only one very long belt. How do they hold up?

Plan the use this to cut grass hay, behind a 65 HP JD. Any advice or experience on the settings and reliability of this mower is appreciated.

A & I products makes all types of teeth for all types of haying equipment. just bought some from the myself. usually half the cost of the dealer. go to www.aiproducts.com , click on PDF product catalog, then hay tool parts, then teeth. hope this helps! Tom
