I"m going to look at a New Holland 67 baler this weekend. Is there anything I should look for as far as problems? Also how fast can these balers bale and what year were they made in? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I had a Holland compact hayliner 65. Dont know if a 67 is close I would assume similar. It had oak wood slides for the feeder fingers, can convert to bearings. the hay pickups were not real close so when baling wouldnt pick up real well. It baled a smaller than average bale. I gave it to a buddy and bought a 273. So Im comparing it to my 273. Tongue is shorter than norm. It baled really well even it seems that I didnt like it. If doesnt hold a candle to my 273. I bale with a 3020. So the 65 was a little small for it.

I used a 67 for years. They are good balers. Look on top of bale case under the knotters to see in the metal there is rusted out. Look on side of bale case where needle yoke mounts for rust.

The baler has good capacity but will not bale nearly as fast as late models. The baler will make misshaped, or banana bales. To prevent most of that problem make large windrows. Note that the tongue does not pivot so you need to pull it with as narrow a tractor as possible. Something the size of a Ford 3000 or MF 135 will handle it fine. Like most square balers, it does not like water and needs to be stored inside. Check to see if it is missing pick up teeth. Check condition of knotter. If possible hook it to a tractor and hear it run. See if needles are broken.
