Sitrex tedder - anyone know about them?

Anybody had any experience with a Sitrex tedders? We"re looking at a 4-spinner, about four years old. It looks like the paint isn"t even completely worn off the tines. I think it is Spanish made and it seems that equipment is getting better all the time but figured I would try to get some other opinions...

Thanks!

Tim

You are likely looking at a Sitrex GT-520. That model has since been replaced by the GT-5200. Both tedders are fine tedders. The GT-5200 is heavier made than the GT-520. Both tedders are 17' tedders and use the same tine,

I've got one. Mine is a manual fold no hydraulics. It has been a good one. There are heavier built tedders out there but they come with a heavier price. If the price is right buy it.

Italian, not Spanish.

I have a Sitrex 2 spinner tedder, and used it last year. The unit is well made, and gave no problems. I bought it new last winter, and really like the unit. I didn"t look at the 4 spinner units because my fields are fairly small, and extra width wouldn"t pay for itself. I pull it with a 25hp Kubota L2050. I gives the little tractor a good work out with a good crop on the ground.
