What a site, After I posted I kept paging down and came accross a Lincoln Ag Sheet that someone posted and identified the plates I have exactly to the numbers I gave. Its for flat corn.

Question now is, could it still be used for soybeans without damage to the seed?

in answer to above questions.

The site is lincolnagproducts.com phone 402 464 6367. I talked to them this morning and they told me the B 8 24 plate would work good enough on beans if its only for food plots but any other comments are welcome

count how many beans will fit in each corn slot and that is how many it would plant at a droping, possibly 1 bean, possibly 4 beans depending on size of slot. a bean plate will drop more up to about 8 depending on witch bean plate and floor plate (the grove side up will plant heavier and the bean plate with the grove that grove is 3 times as wide as a corn plate grove) so it is possible but to get anacurate rate is impossoble. corn plates over the years have had the slots enlarged to make a bean plate when bean plates were not avaible.

Could you please refer me to the Lincoln Ag page or site? I have a lot of old iron IH planter plates that were given to me, and would like to be able to determine what some of them are intended for, without guessing. Thanks.

List the numbers on those plates you have. Then I might be able to help you with kernel sizes.
