I have a Servis terracer and plan on using it to terrace a field for a peach orchard. The terraces will be spaced about 24 ft. apart and need to be 12-18 inches high. Can anyone tell me how to proceed with this? I think that you should start at the outside edge of the terrace and work inwards toward the peak, varying the dirt throw with the gearbox on the whirlybird. My wife thinks you should start at the peak point of the terrace and work outwards, throwing dirt to the peak, adjusting the dirt throw with the gearbox. Has anyone ever used a terracer?, I need some advice.
thanks, Gerry

never used a terracer but i've built terraces with a dozer...your material has to come from the high side and pushed to the low side till its level...if you have a specific use for the top of hill...home site, orchard,or just want it a certain diameter...start at the top and work down.
