biodegradable poly twine

Was looking at Bridons website and noticed they offer a degradable poly twine under the brand name 'Revolver'. Has anyone used that product or similar? Did it perform well in your baler? Does it really completely disappear or linger forever in some lesser form?

From what I know and have heard poly seems to work better (than sisal) but it just never goes away. Id like the performance of poly but biodegradability of sisal. Perhaps Revolver or the like is a good compromise?

I see the comment that plastic twine is still in the mud .What I would like to know is do you guys just dump round bale in the bale ring and leave the twine on them ? I have used plastic for yrs. and always cut the twine off and have never had it scattered around .I would rather have that than leave the bottom 1/3 of the bale on the ground when I pick it up.

I used some 3 years ago and some of it is still twisted up out in the mud looking as good as it did the day I baled with it. I don't remember the brand I used but it was being sold at the local Deere dealer. I use sisal only now, once you start with that plastic you can't get that stuff off of your farm. I use a bale spear to move them and have no problems picking them up and moving them after the bottom twine rots.

Tried a similar, about 6 months ago, so don't know much yet. I use forks on the 3pt, so haven't noticed if they rotted off too early or not.

Hope it disappears.

i bought some bales a couple years ago that had been baled with biodegradeable...it degraded all rite...bottom of the bale in less than 4 months...had to borrow neighbors tractor with pallet forks to move em...i dont want any more to do with that crap.

OK then...sounds like its not all that popular. Will say though that the stuff I mentioned is a new product so perhaps it really performs as advertised.
