Ive got this IHC Little genius, and the moldboard's have this older worn plating on them as i saw when i took some mothers mag polish and ran it over the blades ,
I saw a plating that was on there and NOT SILVER OR SOME COATING THAT SOME WOULD ARGUE ON???
Plating is not silver and I think that chrome was out around ther late 30's

Hi BC,
Its Me kirk,
yea I saw that plating on the blades on the little genius and rubbed some mothers polish on them ,
and they did shine up halfway decent of what was on there,
Soo, Now I know they were niclel plated, and NOT PAINTED LIKE ALOT ON HERE IVE SEEN??
you know what???
I just wonder if it would be worth it too find a person to plate these things again ,
and it would look like it was supposed to look originally
Get back to me on this ok BC,
Kirk,

these werent plated from the factory...seems to me this guy had seen a article in a Progressive Farmer or Farm Journal and had his plated...unless you just want to show the plow or use it very rarely plating is not the answer...run the plow thru some real sandy soil and it'll polish up about the same.
