Can Anyone tell me the best way to test my mag to see if it is working. I have cleaned the points and all contacts but still see no spark. Engine is rough but I would think I could see the spark at the end of the plug when pulled out of the head.

Trying to work my way through the process of getting it running intime for hay season.

Thx JD Gimpl

if baler been sitting awhile chances are the condensor in mag is bad...change it out...you should see some spark...most parts houses sell spark testers but you can make your own with a new spark plug and a set of booster cables...just make sure you hook other end of booster cable to a clean spot on engine.
