Went to look at a propane tank at an old farmstead today. New owner is going to tear the house down amd redevelop the site.
There were several old pieces of machinery there.
A one bottom JD plow a red 2 bottom plow, plus several other decrepit and used up machines.
One piece that looked like it was worth keeping was a 10 - 12' cultivator mentioned above.
It was missing the lift cylinder and needed new tires but pretty good shape otherwise.
I'm always looking to make a nickel horse trading old iron just to keep my own habit within budget.
Is there any kind of a market for that sized vibrashank? What would it be worth?

IH 45 Vibrashank has a history of shanks getting loose, then mushrooming the mounting contact area, and not tightening up again. First thing to check on them, and no- they don"t bring much money anymore.

At a farm auction, it will bring $150.

At a city slicker on 10 acres consignment for sale deal, it might bring $400 if you have time. Need to wait for the right person with a 50 hp tractor & 10 acres to work up to drive by.

A 10 foot probably has more potential than an 18 foot these days, for the city slicker market. Unfortunately those folks are getting hit bad by the bad ecconomy.

The 2 plows are what would catch my attention, they can go high.....

In this part of the country they are a dime a dozen (not quite) but more for scrap iron. I have a 18 ft' that is all rebuilt with new bolts and bushings on the shanks. I've got over $400 stuck into it and the first person that offers that will get a good IH hyd. cylinder too.

I paid $550 for a 14" #45 Vibrashank cultivator. Mine had hydraulic lift on the extensions but didn"t come with a lift cylinder for the wheels. I"ve heard others pick these up way cheap, but not in my neck of the woods. ;-(

Always a guess as to what it will bring at an auction. General guestimate is $50/foot if it's ready to work- decent tires and good points or shovels. Having a cylinder MIGHT make it worth another $50-100. I got $450 for my 12' when I upgraded to a 20', but about 1/2 of the points needed to be replaced.

I had a good, complete 12' VibraShank that I no longer had any use for, and took it to a farm sale. It only brought $65, and it was complete! I guess it just really depends on your area, but around my neck of the woods, old plows are worth more for scrap iron than for their intended purpose. Kind of sad, really.
