Looking for information on 24T dual wheels, I have single wheels on RH & LH that seems to be to narrow for my fields, the tires sink to easily. Do you know a good way to get a larger tire on the bailer? I have looked at the dual set but have not been able to find and of these parts.

I had the same problem with my 24T and I solved it in two different ways. I aquired a wheel from a scrap 336 which had a wider, low profile 14" tire. It fit right on and had the same outside diameter. I also turned the original 15" wheel around, it bolts right on because the lug nut holes are tapered on both sides. This moves the wheel farther away from the frame and I installed an old wider, low profil 15" tire which had the same outside diameter as the original. I haven't had any trouble with the right side sinking, so I left it original.

The kit as shown in tha manual for our Massey 12 baler was a ring that would fit inside the rims, and then 4 carrage head bolts mong enough to go through the 4 square holes in the center disc of the rims. Get a peice of pipe the right size cut the length you need and then go buy some carrage head bolts. Easy to remove if you want, and you don't have to weld anything or modify the rims.

Chris,
I have an offset wheel that I think if for a JD baler. I can send you pics and specs if you want. I will sell it for $20 plus shipping. It is in like-new condition. Thanks.
David

came standard with r.h.15x4.00-4ply @30psi oversize r.h.15x5,00-4ply@27psi standard l.h.15x6.40-6ply@40psi oversize l.h.15x6.70-6ply@35psi
A dual wheel was available for either the lefthand or righthand side of the baler both different sizes. Also came with a dual adapting spindle which was furnished with each unit. the dual tire should never be of larger size than the inside tire, preferably smaller

Look at wheels and tires off of later JD balers {328,336,338} as they came with wider wheels and tires.

Dual wheels are not unheard of on balers. Many balers (mine's a NH 268 Hayliner) have a huge tire on chamber side. I'm sure you can rig something up if you are a little crafty!

Right- cut the center out of a matching rim, and make a spacer band with 3/16 inch flat stock, bent to shape. Weld the two rims and band together with enough spacing for mounting the tire- I"d guess a three inch wide band would be fine. Otherwise an offset wheel is necessary- might be hard to find now.

Meant to say a band wide enough to leave about 3 inches between rims.
