best sprayer set up for rough river bottom ground??

Hi:
I"m a hobby farmer and am in the learning stages,have 125 acres of river bottom that is crp but has thick trees in areas as well as willow thickets.70% of ground is fairly open the other a nightmare as far as getting in tight with a sprayer.What type of spray set up would be best for this type of ground??One guy suggested a three point cluster jet sprayer.Any help would be apprieciated.Thanks

You must have a less tolerant Govenment than we have here!Kidding If it's real bad thay want you to spray early and about like you they are particular when I don't rember the date.Our niebor lost his contract because of too many weeds so now he's farming it and making way more $ per acre..Last year we sprayed by air and that was Spendy won't do it again.Thanks

Have you checked with the local farm chemical supply about spraying it for you.

If it is sprayed every couple of years it might me cheaper in the long run to hire them to spray it.

If you are set on spraying it yourself, go with a 3 pt mounted sprayer.

I have never heard of beaing allowed to spray any goverment program ground. Here In Ohio it has never been allowed. So what are you allowed to spray for?

I'm in SD if you don't keep the weeds down, they can withold payment.We have terrible cockel burr, sage&kochea (SP).Thanks

Here you may mow I forget 5 or 10% of the acerage each year at certain times depending on when the goverment tells you that you can and then only for certain weeds on their list. And NO spraying at any time as it might hurt some wild population. Most of the goverment program ground is nothing but weeds ever and they doon't seem to care how much those weeds seed everything else, that is why I call it the 10 year weed program.

Those cluster sprayer jet things must be a southern thing? I do not see them up here in the north, and I don't believe they would be legal for me to put herbicide through up here?

If you get a trailer type, have tandem rocking axles. Pretty smooth.

3pt is ok, but it will whip up & down with the tractor.

Trailer with a single axle is worst.

Hanson Company in Beloit, WI used to make a cluster unit in the early 50s. Boom mounted on the fender, to the rear, could have a tank on the tractor or trailer. Biggest headache was lousy coverage if wind was 5mph or more. Drift....Dad used his for oats & 2,4-D- in the days before anything like atrazine was around.
