i took mine apart and had to rearange the wheels in it to make it work for the first 999 bales. one of the wheels was broke and i just changed places with them. you have to have 4 long small screws and nuts to put it back together rather than the rivets. mine was still working when i sold the baler.

Tsc stores used to carry them. Haven't looked in a while.

That would be a typical price for a counter for a baler, etc. I find them in salvage yards, on old balers, have them in three field tractors to keep track of loads of hay, silage, corn, etc. Mount them on the cab corners or near the shift/throttle. Had two extra in the shop- gave one to a friend who wants to keep track of how many walleyes he has in the well in the boat! MN DNR (Damn Near Russia) takes a dim view of having too many!

Shoup (Shoupparts.com) has a universal bale counter for $15.95. Looks like the one on my IH 47 and NH 630.

Enter something like "mechanical counter" in a google search or other online search and this one and many others will come up. I'd also check with local industrial supply stores or like bearing supply stores. I found a large oversize counter at military surplus store and put it on the round baler.
