will a IH 2250 loader fit an IH856?

I am looking to add a loader to my IH 856. I am not familiar with what brands and numbers of loaders will fit easily. I found a 2250 with quick mount and was wondering if it is the right size for the 856 and also if it will mount up to the tractor. Any help would be GREAT.

WOW thanks to all that replied. I just found this site and am impressed with all the willingness to help. I am going to make a new post asking for what loaders by brand and number will work so please feel free to post to it if you have info. Thanks again for all the help.

With the right mounts I'm pretty sure that loader will fit on an 856 (I know they will fit on a 756 which should have a very close frame) but that loader really isn't made for that big of a tractor and if you use it very hard you'll probably end up breaking something. If you could find a 2350 or a WL42 loader they would be a better match for that size of tractor. I put a Case IH 510 loader which was made for a 100hp MFD tractor on our 1066 but it doesn't have fluid in the tires so it doesn't have enough traction to hurt the loader. Loader work is hard on farm tractors and it takes a balancing act to size everything for minimal breakage.

I"m not sure but i put a dunham lehr 22 on my 656 but i dont think you would want to use it everyday.they may make a bigger model

With a torch and welder anything will mount up.

the 2250 was built for the small frame tractors- 544,656,666 size. the 2350 would be a better match for your 856. 2450 was same size as 2350 but has super high lift height. brackets are different for the small frame vs large frame tractors, as i found out when i wanted to put the 2250 off my 656 onto my 826. brackets off an 84 series are totally different.

You need to find out what model it came off of. There were many different mounting brackets. If it came off of another 06, 26, or 56 series tractor or a 666 or 686, the mounts may bolt right up or at least only take minor modification to fit. If it came off of a 74 or 84 series, then the mounts probably will not fit.
