Anyone take a look at fertilizer costs lately. They've gone through the roof! Up about 35% over last year.

Down here in Florida:

24-5-11 6% Iron $592/ton
16-4-8 3% Iron $420/ton
21-0-0 Ammonium Sulfate $559/ton

Anyone got any good fertilizer cost figures to share for your area? Do you have better or worse pricing?

I said when the price of corn and beans went sky high that the costs would follow. Land, rent, fuel, seed, fertilizer, and chemicals all have shot up too. Just makes it that much worse when the bottom drops out. It will too-always does.

The maufacturers and suppliers can say all they want about supply and demand. They know the farmer has more money to spend so they are going to take it. Taking lessons from the oil, health care, and insurance industries.

Glysophate is up that much at least as well. And in very short supply.

Bean seed is also starting to run out in some areas. Not sure it is going up in price - just, running out.

Folks that have been sleeping are going to be mighty surprised when spring comes....
