I need to replace or resurface the drive roller in my baler. New roller is a little pricy. Was wondering if the old one could be recoated some way. I am looking for a rubber roll company or other sugestions.

For a tempory fix I painted the roller with pickup bed liner. Would do about 50 bales. Then I got a roller out of a hay conditioner made out of rubber belting stacked on a shaft. Had to turn it down to size and it really pulled the hay in. Should last much longer than the old roller.

If it has two drive rollers, check the other one. They have to be the same diameter or they will soon wear out again. Like having two different size tires on a locked differential.
