Early 52 plow landside wheel removal

Have an early 52 plow that has a cast sleeve (X247A) that goes over the end of the axle. Landside not trip side. I have removed the pin on the inside that goes thru the cast sleeve. Need to get this off to work on a rubber spoke wheel (cutoff). It"s not wanting to move at all !! year"s of rust I suppose. Will heat on the cast help? Thanks for any replies, Gary

I would say heat will help. If you get it to the right place. I have a model 51 plow with a similar furrow wheel set up. I used large sledge and drift to move it. At the time I did not have a good Acetylene torch. If I was doing it today, I'd heat it and cool it a couple of times before using the sledge.
