I have a Clark Brand three point, 300 gallon aluminum tank sprayer. I bought it at auction. The pump works and the nozzles all work. I'm missing a lid for the tank which I can fabricate out of sheet metal. My question is: there are two connections on the top of the tank. One goes to the relief valve and acts as the over pressure port back to the tank. What does the other one do? The doesn't seem to be an agitator in the bottom of the tank. Just the one big outlet opening at the bottom that goes to the supply side of the pump. The pressure gage doesn't seem to work. how much should the pump be putting out? Thanks for the help.

Your pump should be capable to develop 60 pounds at least.

Does the other fitting at top have threads on the inside of the tank? If so a short piece of hose may fit in there to reach the bottom of the tank for agitation.

Some chemicals do require agitation to stay in suspension.
