If you have the driveshaft pieces you will be much better off going to a heavy driveline shop and getting them put back together than buying a new one. About 10 years ago I went looking a new driveshaft for a E80 Series IV Select-A-Tilth and the local Howard parts dealer wanted $485 for one. I took the twisted apart pieces to a truck driveline shop and for $100 I got it rebuilt.

If you do not have the flange end then you may not have a choice but to get one from Howard. You might be able to find a compatible flange and driveshaft that will work if you look around.

If the manual provides a collapsed length/extended length number I will post it when I get back to the shop and can look.

Eric, do a google search for Howard Tillers. Some where I have the website for the Howard tillers, I will see if I can find it and post later. Problem is that they have dealers in different areas and the one I have is for OR.

PS you will need model # off you tiller.
