Hey Old, you answered my post about making a few of those pick-up truck mounted bale spear set ups. I sorta made one that fits into my reciever hitch, but before I do anymore cutting, welding, then some more cutting followed by some more welding, was wondering if you have any info or pictures on how you designed it? Did you use a electric wench or come-along?

I have built and sold probably 50 of them and I use a hyd cylinder and a 12volt hyd pump,I could send you a picture if you like, and it mounts the the goose neck hitch ball in the back of the bed, they work great

I have been leaving my laptop over at my lady friends house and for some reason her wireless internet won't connect to my out going mail server, but I can recieve e-mails that you sent. i've built a few pu spears...the pivot for spear needs to be even with floor of truck bed...i like to carry bales at about 60 degree angle to get weight closer to axle...comealong works fine but use a safety chain...them big bales bouncin along been known to strip comealong gears.

I haven't built one per say my self but have seen many of them built. I have seen them set up to use either a com-a-long or wench the longer the arm is that you hook up the wench to the better to a point but if to long it has to be very strong. Most of the stuff I do it set up 3 point types to be used in or on loader buckets but still be able to be used on the 3 point also
