I have recently bought a New Holland 435 disc mower. I would like to know when it was made and where I can get replacement blades etc. (New Holland can't help). Also general tips for use of a disc mower would be appreciated.

Gavin, dont know when that was made, you would think that new holland would have blades for it though. good thing about a disk mower is you only have to stop and git off the tractor when ya want to. they will mow anything, and you can go fast, BUT, there are places where you cant go any faster than with a regular mower, if the ground is rough. they will tear up to. when mowing and crossing a rough place, dont back off the engine speed as this will slow down the pto, and the mower will clogg up, use the clutch, and ease through places like this. also have good rpms built up when starting into the standing grass. they are nice to use and will realy lay down the hay, but like using any equip. (BE CARFULL) hope this helps.
