Anyone know the width of a 253 Disk. The 'net isn't a wealth of data on older imps.

There was a 252 and 253. We had a 253 18' manual wing fold. There was also a 16' fold. I don't know if they came any wider. There might have been a 20'.

I don't have any spec's on the 253 either but maybe this will help - The 263 basic unit ( without wings ) came in many width's from 10'4" to 16'4" depending on blade spacing . In a straight 7-1/2" front and rear spacing the width's would be - 10'4" (32 disc blades), 11'6"(36) , 12'8"(40) , 13'11"(44) , 15'0"(48) and 16'4"(52) . In straight 9" f&r spacing - the basic unit came in - 12'2"(32) , 13'7"(36) , 15'0"(40) and 16'4"(44) . With 9" front and 7-1/2" rear spacing it came in - 12'8"(36) , 13'11"(40) and 15'0"(44) . With wings it could come as wide as 21'0" . Wings on the 7-1/2" spacing would add 7'2" to each basic unit up to the 13'11" unit - N/A for the 15'0" and 16'4" unit's . Wings on the 9" spacing would add 7'1" up to the 13'7" unit - N/A on the 15'0" and 16'4" unit's . Wings on the combo unit would also add 7'1" to the 12'8" and the 13'11" unit's with the 15'0" unit not available with them . This info is from my op's manual dated August 1971 . HTH ...Randy

253 could be different widths. I"e got a 13 footer, but you could have one with wings too.
