I am needing to make a bulkhead to place in the hay meadows to backup to and unload a stack or two with my NH balewagon and come back later and pick them up with the bale grapples. Has anybody ever made one? I would like to make it portable and load it on my small trailer and move it to another field. What do they put up out west where they stack them outside?Tried stacking out in the open and the stacks would fall over and make a mess. Any help would be appreciated

A lot of folks out west use old Power / Telephone Poles for the verticals and 2x10's or 2x12's for the horizontals. Be sure to place angle braces behind the poles.

PT 6x6 would also work for verticals.

Several in this area are built as a 9 x 12 square frame with 2/3/8 tubing covered with net wire, two pipes hinged at the top for props looks like a step ladder standing. lays flat for hauling.

Thanks Bill that was what I was looking for. That gives me a good idea on what to build.
