Bob, son is threatening to get the 4B down and use it some this spring, just see how well it works. Getting it down will be no small task. He picked up an Oliver plow - trailer type, 2 bottom that his Granddad had owned, this summer. Want to see how well that works too. Hauled it home from Nashville TN, on a 2 wheel trailer behind his Chevy Blazer. Afraid that the old JD B may have a little trouble with the Oliver - 16" bottoms. Also a bit scared to use the JD, for fear of breaking plowshares. We have a bad case of rocks! Bet those are precious, if you can find them!

Ray, My son has a field I plow that has a few big rocks under the surface. I found that plowing slowly in 2nd gear with my "A" does a good job and reduces the chance of breaking something. I call it "gentle plowing", of course it's not practical for large fields but it works for me. Bob
