I am looking for any information on this implement. I have one, and would like to get it working again. It has 14 disks on two different shanks, both in line with each other. I believe it is supposed to have a hydraulic ram, but it is missing.

Any info, including access to manuals, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Mark post a picture of your JD tandem and I'll tell you what the model # is. I never seen a model JW or AVX but know AW"s well. Tx Jim

I want to thank you all for your responses. I have ordered a user and parts manual from JD. I hope it is the right one, but based upon your responses, I believe it is.

Once again, thanks again. I hope to get this back to work soon!

I have a disc harrow marked with a JD model 1100 ID tag. I took that info to the local JD parts counter and got a funny look. They know this plow as a AW, JW, AVX, or some other ID which is capital lettering, like I showed you, not numerical like is on the tag.

So I wish you luck in getting the correct manual, but you might go to your local JD dealer, find the grey headed guy at the parts counter (who has been there all these years supplying parts for that critter) and find out what JD thinks it is.

My grey headed guy that got the right parts for me and my 45 year old harrow, the next day mind you, said that the sticker model number means nothing.

Well, I had a problem with that and that is, if it means nothing why did mother Deere put it on the plow in the first place?

So, if you were to go after a manual which part number would you use? Like I say, might want to ask before you plunk your money down.

Mark

Found a pic of 1200 sureflex tiller on implement photos section. We just called them oneways. Be sure that is what you have and call JD at 1-800-522-7448 for manuals or go to http://techpubs.deere.com entering 1200 as exact model. There was also a 1200 offset JD disk harrow.

Sounds as if you have a model 1200 Surflex tiller. Round beam frame with caster wheel in left front, large weighted rear wheel with a rubber tire to crank down for transport. Many of them were sold here in 60's & 70's. If set correcily will plow level,if incorrect will kick out of furrow and ridge soil. Some had seed boxes to plant small grains. Tx Jim
