I bought one new in 1981. Excellent heavy duty baler, it replaced my oliver 620. Same design just built a little heavier, I think it replaced the oliver 720. I used it to bale 10,000 bales a year until 2001 when I bought a used John Deere 336. Still have the 4500 as a spare baler and am planning on totaly rebuild ing it in the future. Thanks, I maybe posting some questions when we get it home.

It came from the second owner who used as a backup to his NH315. He never needed it. He bought it at an estate sale and the previous owner had used it very little. The paint still shines. there is still paint in the bale chamber.

On the subject of the Hesston 4500 baler....What is the minimum pto horsepower required for operation?
