I have never heard of a 33 dairy spreader, but the Model 34 was labeled a dairy spreader. It had a different impeller, the same as most spreaders today, where the 33 had a impeller that looked like a 30 gallon drum with teeth welded to it. I had a 34 when I first started milking and it was heavier built than the 33. I always figured it was because the spreader was used to clean the stanchion barn everyday instead of more seaonally for other animals. The 34 also had the option of a slop pan, mine didn't have it but I remember seeing it in the manual.

I think they called it a dairy spreader because it has a single beater and no over bracing to allow it to go under a barn cleaner

I remember a neighbor having a JD spreader with a large-diameter drum with small paddles on back in place of the regular shaft with the big flat paddles. There was a slop pan mounted under the drum. It threw soupy manure really high up in the air and in wide swaths. Maybe that was a 'dairy spreader'?
