I have a john deere grain drill and on the back of the box it says FB 117 A Lot 5211 What does all that mean??

Model FB-A

11 openers, 7" spacing. 6'-5" drilling width, 8'-8" over-all width.

FB series ran from early 50's until late 70's. I think the FB-A was replaced by FB-B in 1959 but not sure on that. Good drills. I bought a used FB-B in 1970 and still use it to this day.

2x10 or 2x12 which ever is wide enough to cover the mounting straps all the way.
