I was wondering, if #10 mower will fit on JD model 50 tractor if you have the pto drive for the back. Most you see advertised, are for the new generation tractors, with front pto. Also how hard are these mowers to find with the back pto shaft drive? Thanks for any info.

I've got most of a # 10 mower. I used it on a 70 and a 520. I'd have to look but I think I still have the rear drive but the pulley that went on the pto shaft is worn out.

Like said probably hard to find that shaft drive. There was also a No. 50 mid side mount mower that fit new generation 2510-4020 and also with different bracket 2020 utility tractors too. The No. 50 drove off the mid or front PTO shaft on those tractors with that though.

The #10 will fit the 20 and 30 series, because a friend has a couple, so I'd assume they will fit a 50 with the correct brackets. The back PTO shaft drive is hard to find for the #10. It took him 5 or 6 years, ten years ago to piece together a complete unit.
