I have a 403 disc plow that I need some parts for. Does anyone know where there is a junk yard that has disc plows? Also I have one blade that is 23 1/16" and two that are 25" across. I have found a site that sells blades. Here is my problem that I need some help with. They have different concaves listed for these blades. Mine measure 3 1/16" (straight across the blade and measure into the center) on the 23 1/16" blade and 3 3/4" on the 25" blade. On a 26" blade what would the concave be? BUDD

hi budd, you doing ok? just had a thought cross my mind. if the blade has a bigger depth to it, wouldn't that make it cut better, especially in real thick material? seems like it would be turned into the material more the deeper the dish.

John; Yes I believe you are right, but I need to match the dish of the part that the blades bolt to.

bet you are glad you are't out on the road this week, huh? is the round part that the disk mount to hollow in the middle. it seems like it would have to be to allow for different depths of dishes on the blades. something would have to be variable and i doubt if jd made several different holders for the blades. what does the parts book say about that. not trying to sound smart, just trying to help you figure this out. be careful.

just had another thought on this subject. the very center part of the disk may have all been stamped out with the same amount of curve to them so that any blade could be used on any holder.

Check your wear, mine takes 28in blades and I can`t find any for less that 65.00.

Per the manuel 26" is the biggest for this plow. It is a John Deere

Thanks BUDD
