The MF-32 loader mounted on my MF 135 will freeze the bucket dump valve when below freezing temps. The arm lift is not a problem. It will eventually thaw, but I'd like to drain the obvious water out of the valve. There are a couple of nuts that may/may not be correct to drain the valve. I don't know jack about hydraulic valves and don't want to take nuts off that my be holding vital parts that will spring all over the shop when removed. I'm guessing B below.
C= offending valve
B= Big nut directly under the valve shaft
A= Smaller nut in the area.

Thanks for helpful responses.

I don't think I would take any of them off. I would look for a product called Seafoam to add to the system. Seems to work pretty good. DW

thanks, Duane. I'm not familiar with SeaFoam but looking at the website can't see any product directly related to hydraulics. Which product are you refering to and how do you use it? Thanks again.

Bugs be gone.... Only kidding! I used the Motor Treatment. It says something like "Dries wet hydraulic systems" on the can. I never would have believed the mechanic in a can claims but have seen this stuff work on faulty systems. If you look at the MSDS file on their web site, you will notice there's a fair amount of Isopropyl alcohol in most of their products. I imagine that's whats doing most of the work. It's worth a shot, best wishes. Duane W.

Duane,
I removed the cup B and it had 1/2" of water in it. When frozen, that ice would keep the valve spool from going down which is exactly what was happening. I removed the water and the valve worked perfectly at +9F yesterday morning. Tractor sat outside before I bought it so suspect rain leakage. Thanks for your help.
